Linked to the Parramatta NRL and Parramatta Pathways, the PJRL provides prospects for male and female players to enhance their Rugby League career within development and elite pathways. Opportunities are provided through selection in Development Squads and Representative Teams.

OUR HISTORY

The Parramatta Junior Rugby League formed in 1946, when, as a result of expanding urban sprawl an influx of residents flocked to the immediate Parramatta area, this caused a compacted competition to be formed and the Western Districts and Southern Districts competitions were revamped. In its fledgling years the competitions took in teams from far a drift as Liverpool and St Mary's and just about every town on the Cumberland plateau.

The Parramatta Junior Rugby League currently consists of 27 Clubs. In 2022 there were 371 teams and 4,985 players (4,336 male and 649 female) covering a vast area which consists of six Local government council areas— Parramatta, Cumberland, Hills Shire, Blacktown, Fairfield & Liverpool.

The Parramatta Junior Rugby League continue to play in its own competitions from U6 to U12 on both Saturday and Sunday. The Male 13+ age groups play in the Central West Conference with the Bulldogs Junior Rugby League, whilst Females compete in the Metro Combined Competitions from U12's through to Open Age. League Tag is another option for Female footballers, with clubs competing in the Sydney wide competitions for the U12, U14 and U16 age groups.
