All smiles at the inaugural Parra Play x League Stars Tag Day

The Parramatta Eels and NRL teamed up during the school holidays to deliver the inaugural Parra Play x League Stars Tag Day, presented by City of Parramatta. 150 juniors took over Ollie Webb Reserve for a day of fun-filled league tag games, with players travelling from as far as Bondi and the Blue Mountains to participate.

Teams excitedly took turns at the face painting and hair-braiding stations to get their look on-point for a big day of footy. They were also treated to the beats of DJ Andy G who kept the high-energy vibe all day, including a few retro hits for the adults to enjoy.

A wet start to the day couldn’t dampen teams’ spirits as they took to the field for the first few rounds. As the sun shone through, so did the talent of the players, with their outstanding tags, try saves and celebrations. Most importantly, good sportsmanship was the theme of the day with players applauding each other’s efforts and helping out other teams when fresh legs were needed.

A huge thank you to all the players, team managers and families for making it an unforgettable day.
