Mitchell Moses and Zac Lomax are set to make their Australian Test debuts after being named in the Kangaroos team for the opening match of the Pacific Championships.
Moses is in line to become Australia’s halfback, named in the no. 7 jersey for Friday’s clash with Tonga at Suncorp Stadium.
Lomax joins him in pulling on the Green & Gold for the first time, with Mal Meninga naming the Eels recruit on the wing.
The future Eels teammates struck up a partnership during the victorious State of Origin campaign for NSW this year, combining for a memorable try in Game II.
The pair are now set to join forces on the international stage before returning to Eels pre-season.
Maika Sivo will also feature in Week 1 of the Pacific Championships as he takes his place on the wing for Fiji. The Bati will host Papua New Guinea in Suva on Saturday night.
Incoming Eels signing Isaiah Iongi has been included in Tonga's squad as a reserve.
The Eels will also have seven representatives in this week's Women's fixtures, headlined by Mahalia Murphy.
The Eels Captain is set to end her nine-year wait for a Jillaroos jersey, named to represent Australia for the first time since 2015.
