Judiciary Update: Kelma Tuilagi

The Parramatta Eels can provide the following update on Kelma Tuilagi.

Kelma Tuilagi has sustained an injury to his thumb which requires surgery and rules him out for 6-8 weeks.

As a result of the updated injury diagnosis received today, the Eels have decided to plead ‘no contest’ to Kelma’s charge at the NRL Judiciary.

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON 17 JUN:

Kelma Tuilagi will face the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night to dispute the grading of a Dangerous Throw charge from the Eels' Round 15 match against the Roosters.

The Eels forward was sin-binned over the incident in the 4th minute of the match following a tackle on Lindsay Collins.

Tuilagi has pleaded guilty to a Dangerous Throw, but will contest the match review committee's Grade 3 charge to secure a downgrade from a four-match suspension.
