Game Day Guide: Eels v Broncos, Round 19

The Parramatta Eels return to Bankwest Stadium for their final home game of the regular season when they face the Brisbane Broncos on Friday 18 September in Round 19 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

The Eels are coming off a defeat to the Penrith Panthers last week and will be looking to return to the winners’ circle as they charge towards the 2020 Finals series whilst the Broncos will be searching for just their fourth win of the season.

Round 19 will be Women in League Round and the Eels will also celebrate the Club's Members Appreciation Round.

Ryan Matterson will play his 100th NRL clash.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of kick off!

Round Nineteen crowd

From 1 July, crowds of up to 10,000 (or as much as 25 percent of a venue) will be permitted in NSW and Queensland, with Bankwest Stadium having a capacity of approximately 7,500 fans allowed into the venue.

Members who expressed their interest last week have already been contacted in regards to accessing their tickets, along with further information on how to purchase extra tickets to the clash. If you expressed your interest or would like to purchase extra tickets, and have not yet been contacted by the Membership team, please email our team at membership@parraeels.com.au and a team member will contact you ASAP. 

Please note Bankwest Stadium is enforcing social distancing, cashless transactions, and mobile-only ticketing along with revisions to their food and beverage packages.

Tickets will be not be able to be purchased at the gate.

How can I be COVID safe at the game?

We kindly request members to consider the safety of others and please stay home if you have been feeling unwell, have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are awaiting on the results of a COVID-19 test (including yourself).

If you have been in a COVID-19 hotspot such as Victoria in the last 14 days or any of the venues listed on the NSW health website in the designated time periods you will not be permitted to attend events at the Stadium at this time.

Is your Plan B sorted?

Wherever you’re watching the game, if you drink, you’ll need a Plan B to get home. Whether that’s taking public transport, ride-sharing, using a taxi or arranging a lift. Be the real MVP of the night, sort out a plan B and don’t drink drive.

Transport

Please note that Member tickets to Friday night's clash does not include integrated transport for this clash. Transport for NSW will however be supplementing the services based on attendee data to ensure services can be met.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle is back this week, however tickets can only be purchased online! Head to parraeels.com.au/5050, purchase a ticket ahead of this week’s game and you could win 50% of the proceeds.

The funds raised this week will go towards our Eels Charity Partner, the Lisa Harnum Foundation.

The Lisa Harnum Foundation (LHF) was established in 2014 to initially assist women and their children living in the Hills area, who were experiencing some form of domestic abuse. LHF has since expanded their service in to the Ryde Local Government Area. LHF is a registered not for profit charity that relies on donations to carry out this important work.

Services provided are - case management, information, court support, education, group work and transitional housing. LHF introduced an innovative service in 2017 called the Safe Room. This model offers women the opportunity to meet with the caseworker in a safe and private space. The Safe Room is located within shopping centres where, even if tracked on her phone or car, she is just in a shopping centre, which is a normal activity. LHF has three Safe Rooms, Castle Towers Shopping Centre, Macquarie Shopping Centre and Rouse Hill Town Centre.
