Game Day Info: Eels v Knights, Round 21, Bankwest Stadium

The Parramatta Eels return home to Bankwest Stadium this Saturday afternoon (10 August) for a huge day of football against the Newcastle Knights.

For the first time this season, all three grades will be in action and Blue & Gold Members and fans are encouraged to arrive early to #PARRAdise and cheer on all three teams in action on the day.

The day kicks off with gates opening at 1:15pm, Jersey Flegg kicking off against the Knights at 1:30pm, the Wentworthville Magpies v Knights in the Canterbury Cup at 3:15pm before the Parramatta Eels v Newcastle Knights in the Round 21 NRL clash at 5:30pm.

GETTING TO THE GAME

Event-goers will be able to catch the train, bus or other public transport services to and from the stadium for free using their event ticket or Club Memberships.

The best way to get to and from Bankwest Stadium is by public transport with only a very limited amount of parking available.

Please note that there will be an India Day celebration in Parramatta Park on Saturday with an expected 15,000 people in attendance. This will be taking place on Saturday between 12pm and 9pm, as well as a fireworks display. Blue & Gold Members and fans attending Bankwest Stadium should take this into consideration when planning their arrival to the stadium.

PRE GAME ACTIVITY AND ENTERTAINMENT

There will be plenty of pre-game activity and a buzz of excitement around the grounds of Bankwest Stadium in Round Twenty One! Check out some of the activity below.

Precinct (External)

For queries or assistance with tickets, please visit our Ticketing window located at Gate B. The Eels Ticket Box office located at Gate B will be open from 1pm and is available for any Eels Ticket Collections or Game Day enquiries.

Parramatta Eels Community Partners CareFlight will be located at Gate B promoting some of the great and important work they do in the community, collecting donations and selling merchandise.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle will also have volunteers roaming Bankwest Stadium raising money for CareFlight.  Be part of the 50-50 Charity Raffle, sponsored by Parramatta Leagues Club. Wheelchair Rugby League return this week and will be located on the basketball courts located at Gate A with an activation to allow Blue & Gold Members and fans an opportunity to get involved in the game. Get involved in their training session and have a go at the sport!

Keep your eyes peeled for some of the fun and games with NPA Events and their Dartball plus inflatables and kids rides including Turbo Tubs, Try Scorer & Big Baller Wipeout located near Gate B.

There will be face painting from 1:30pm to 5:30pm along with a chill out area with bean bags and a Duo performance.

Plus keep an eye out for the Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders along with Sparky & Sparkles who will be roaming the precinct in the lead up to the on field action.

Western Sydney University will also have a roaming presence in the precinct conducting research on the Game Day Experience and stadium.

Blue & Gold Merchandise will also be located at Gate B with a 2018 Merchandise Clearance sale. Visit them to make sure you get your hands on Blue & Gold merchandise whilst they are on sale!

Precinct (Internal)

Upon entering Bankwest Stadium, Blue & Gold Members and fans should keep their eyes peeled on some of the activity before the on field action kicks off.

Membership will only be located inside the stadium this week, located near Gate D to assist with any Membership queries.

Merchandise will have outlets located at Gate A & B.

The Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders and Sparky & Sparkles will also be roaming.

On field

With all three grades in action on the day, there is plenty of activity on the field!

Jersey Flegg (1:30pm) and Canterbury Cup (3:15) will feature before the NRL clash, which kicks off at 5:30pm.

Before kick off, we will be having a Blue & Gold Alliance lap of honour with Eels legends roaming the field.

There will also be representatives from each Junior League team holding a flag during run out along with the return of our pre-game show and pump up package.

Keep an eye on the big screen for the Coca Cola Sing to Win competition with a $250 voucher up for grabs.

At half time, the Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders will be performing along with the shuffle game on the big screen.
