Game Day Info: Eels v Warriors, Round 19

The Parramatta Eels return home to Bankwest Stadium this Saturday afternoon (27 July) when they take on the New Zealand Warriors in Round 19 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

Blue & Gold Members and fans are encouraged to arrive to the ground early, with Gates opening at 12:30pm before the Wentworthville Magpies Canterbury Cup clash at 12:45pm following by the NRL clash at 3pm.

The Eels will celebrate our 25 year partnership with Community Partner Ronald McDonald House, Westmead on the day with plenty of activity around the grounds of Bankwest Stadium planned.

The clash will also be part of the NRL Beanies for Brain Cancer Round.

GETTING TO THE GAME 

Event-goers will be able to catch the train, bus or other public transport services to and from the stadium for free using their event ticket or Club Memberships.

The best way to get to and from Bankwest Stadium is by public transport with only a very limited amount of parking available.

PRE GAME ACTIVITY AND ENTERTAINMENT

There will be plenty of pre-game activity and a buzz of excitement around the grounds of Bankwest Stadium in Round 19! Check out some of the activity below.

Precinct (External)

Our Blue & Gold Membership team will be available for enquires and assistance with a presence at Gate B. Become a member and be Parra Proud in 2019. They will be also handing out Blue & Gold junior passports so young Blue & Gold Members should pop into the marquee ahead of entering Bankwest Stadium.

For queries or assistance with tickets, please visit our Ticketing window located at Gate B. The Eels Ticket Box office located at Gate B will be open from 12:15pm and is available for any Eels Ticket Collections or Game Day enquiries.

Celebrating our 25 year partnership with Ronald McDonald House, they will have a marquee at Gate B with Blue & Gold hairspray for a gold coin donation.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle will also have volunteers roaming Bankwest Stadium raising money for the Ronald McDonald House, Westmead.  Be part of the 50-50 Charity Raffle, sponsored by Parramatta Leagues Club. Eels community partners CareFlight will be on hand at Gate B promoting the great work they do, collecting donations and selling merchandise.

LifeEducation will also have their Mobile Learning Centre on site.

As part of the NRL Beanies for Brain Cancer Round, Mark Hughes Foundations Beanies will be available for purchase. All funds raised from the sale of the beanies will be donated to the foundation, supporting brain cancer research and ultimately better outcomes for patients.

The Beanies for Brain Cancer Round was an initiative established by the late Nine NRL executive producer Matt Callander in association with the Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF).

The MHF will fund research projects in alignment with the National Brain Cancer Mission, with the aim of doubling survival rates and improving the quality of life for patients with brain cancer in the next 10 years.

The Australian and New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society will also be there on the day, coinciding with World Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Day. Visit the team of Head & Neck Surgeons from St Vincent Hospital to get your free 5 minute Oral Cancer Screening.

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service will be roving the concourse providing information on blood donation and the battle of the west challenge

Blue & Gold Members and fans should keep their eyes out for roving performers in the precinct with NPA Events on site challenging fans on the Motion Sports pass the ball competition.

Young Blue & Gold Members and fans should keep an eye out for the kids area with facepainting, kids circus workshop, Windjammers spinning chairs and an Inflatable Footy Challenge.

Plus keep an eye out for the Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders along with Sparky & Sparkles who will be roaming the precinct in the lead up to the on field action.

Western Sydney University will also have a roaming presence in the precinct conducting research on the Game Day Experience and stadium.

CONCOURSE (INTERNAL)

Upon entering Bankwest Stadium, Blue & Gold Members and fans should keep their eyes peeled on some of the activity before the on field action kicks off.

The Mark Hughes Foundation will also be selling their MHF Beanies opposite Aisle 111 and the inside foyer at Gate F for corporate guests.

Membership will have a presence inside the stadium located near Gate D.

Head to the Eels Merchandise outlets internal of Gate A and B and in the precinct near Gate B to kit up for the season ahead. Show your 2019 Eels Membership card and save 10%.

Keep an eye for our Fan Experience Team will be will greeting Members and fans at the gates, assisting at the internal Membership outlets, ushering Members to their seats and assisting Members and fans to their seats along with our Membership Outlet located at Gate D.

Keep an eye out for face painters located opposite Aisle 112 for Blue & Gold Members and fans to get into the spirit and show their support.

The Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders and Sparky & Sparkles will also be roaming.

ON FIELD

The Wentworthville Magpies will kick off the action against the New Zealand Warriors in the Canterbury Cup from 12:45pm.

Ahead of kick off, along with our brand new pre-game show, the Blue & Gold Army Flag will be raised along with a Guard of Honour.

Also keep an eye on the big screen for Coke’s Sing to Win competition on the big screen. Purchase any eligible Coca-Cola product and be ready for the announcement on the big screen! To be the chosen one in the crowd, simply hold your bottle up high so we can zero in on you to win a $250 gift voucher.

The Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders will also be performing at half time along with the Eels shuffle game on the big screen.
