There were plenty of strong on-field performances from various players including a double to Blake Ferguson, a monster effort from Manu Ma’u, a big effort up front from Junior Paulo and great impact from David Gower from the bench.

Ma’u sparked the Eels into action with a solo individual try in the back end of the first half, but the back rower also finished with 79m from seven runs and a huge 43 tackles in defence.

Junior Paulo had a big 52minutes in the middle of the field, finishing with 161m from 15 runs, two tackle breaks and 23 tackles.

Gower had plenty of impact from the bench during his 36 minutes on the field with 102m from 11 runs, four tackle breaks and 22 tackles.

There were also strong performances from Mitch Moses (one try, three conversions, 54m run metres, one line break, six tackle breaks, 18 tackles and 410 kick metres), Clint Gutherson (164m from 23 runs), Reed Mahoney (55m from 5 runs and 61 tackles) and Tepai Moeroa (106m from 12 runs and 16 tackles).
