Dyldam Parramatta Eels winger Reece Robinson has capped off his 100th NRL appearance with a double, including the 50th try of his career, as the Blue and Gold defeated the reigning premiers, South Sydney.

For Robinson, the Eels’ attitude shone through in the 29-16 win.

“The boys put a real good effort in today and stuck in the whole game,” Robinson said.

“A few times at the start of the season we let ourselves down, we dropped away, but the boys stuck through and we got the win.”

“Everyone knows how good they (Souths) are. But we thought we want to challenge ourselves against the best. We were looking forward to it all week so it was a good outcome.”

The elusive winger said the atmosphere from the Blue and Gold Army was electric.

“Oh I love it (the energy from the crowd),” Robinson said.

“I definitely love it, the crowd really get behind you. No matter where you are in the game they’re always there. I’m happy to be here.”
