Read today's member article, written by Penny Morgan - who is a passionate Eels supporter, and involved in our Junior League:
My passion for the Eels family started 13 years ago when my boys were introduced to rugby league. They started playing in the Parramatta juniors and became mad Eels supporters - and still remain one-eyed supporters.
In no time I found myself becoming increasing involved in league and the Eels network became part of our family and life .
With the great community work and junior support that the Eels provided it was an easy decision to want to get involved and become part of the Eels community. Every spare minute of my time I started devoting to the Juniors who all shared the dream of becoming the next Hindmarsh, Burt or Grothe.
The dream has to start somewhere and I wanted to help facilitate that dream for the juniors of the Parramatta District. I love seeing players from our juniors make it to the rep ranks and look forward to seeing more of our superstars wear the Blue and Gold.
Being a member of the Blue and Gold has enabled me to meet people who have a shared interest in the great game of Rugby League.
With the support and mentoring of some great staff, players and fans over the years, my passion to continue to support our future and current Eels stars continues to grow.
Going to the Eels games with my children has and continues to provide wonderful memories.
Although the last few years have been tough for the Eels I am confident that the Blue and Gold will return to its rightful place at the top of the NRL ladder .
It's in the tough times that fans need to unite and remain loyal to the team and club - we have an amazing junior base and the future looks fantastic!
To me the Parramatta Eels are not just a team, they are an extension of my family!
