It's hard to avoid the disappointment on the face of Pirtek Parramatta Eels forward Mitch Allgood, after landing back in Sydney following a 22-12 loss to the Brisbane Broncos.

"Yeah, I'm very disappointed with the game," he said.

"Especially after were hoping to go up there to win back-to-back - we just weren't good enough."

Allgood says the Broncos deserved to win, after playing a solid game right across the park.

"The Broncos played well through the middle and were very smart at 9," he said.

"They through the middle, found an edge and would stick there through their whole set. So that's to their credit."

But Mitch says there are some signs they can work on, despite their attacking plays not always working out.

"There were a couple of good plays, one in particular with an inside ball from Kel to Jarryd, so we threw a lot at them it just wasn't our night," he said.

"It got a little bit frantic at times, but that can come from people over trying as well, which can sometimes take away from the team."
